Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured cold calling campaigns
  • Research and identify target agencies and key decision-makers
  • Build prospect lists using various federal data sources
  • Execute outbound email, LinkedIn, and phone campaigns
  • Track outreach cadence and follow-up schedule
  • Develop and maintain a 30-60-90 day sales plan
  • Maintain weekly activity metrics
  • Track pipeline status and conversion metrics in CRM
  • Identify target contract vehicles
  • Coordinate with CGO to align outreach
  • Qualify prospects before scheduling demos
  • Coordinate with Nexus team for technical demos
  • Prepare briefing materials for leadership
  • Support follow-up after demos
  • Partner with CFO and CGO on pricing strategy
  • Establish relationships with federal acquisition professionals
  • Identify pilot opportunities

Required Skills

  • 1–4 years of experience in software sales, SaaS sales, or federal business development
  • Demonstrated comfort with cold calling and outbound prospecting
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Highly organized with disciplined tracking and follow-up habits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to confidently engage federal decision-makers
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience selling into the federal government
  • Familiarity with federal procurement processes and contract vehicles
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales tracking tools
  • Exposure to AI, SaaS, GovTech, or acquisition of modernization environments
