Responsibilities

  • Build strategic partnerships with industry bodies and funding groups
  • Develop and implement a business development plan
  • Responsible for forecasting and funnel management
  • Manage accounts and prospect for new business
  • Provide written reports and maintain accurate customer records
  • Attend trade exhibitions and develop technology seminars
  • Gather market trend information
  • Collaborate with internal teams on customer approach

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years experience in business development or account relationship management
  • Experience in instrumentation solutions sales, preferably in analytical instruments (Mass Spectrometry)
  • Understanding of the market and workflows
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Results-oriented with strong sales attributes
  • Strong commercial competence
  • Time management skills
  • Sound administration skills
  • Understanding of contract review processes

Preferred Skills

  • Master Degree or PhD in the sciences
  • Experience in business development and/or sales
  • Strategic and tactical market development skills
  • Presentation skills applicable internally and in the marketplace
  • Greater than 3 years demonstrated ability in sophisticated instrumentation solution sales
