Responsibilities
- Build strategic partnerships with industry bodies and funding groups
- Develop and implement a business development plan
- Responsible for forecasting and funnel management
- Manage accounts and prospect for new business
- Provide written reports and maintain accurate customer records
- Attend trade exhibitions and develop technology seminars
- Gather market trend information
- Collaborate with internal teams on customer approach
Required Skills
- 3-5 years experience in business development or account relationship management
- Experience in instrumentation solutions sales, preferably in analytical instruments (Mass Spectrometry)
- Understanding of the market and workflows
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Results-oriented with strong sales attributes
- Strong commercial competence
- Time management skills
- Sound administration skills
- Understanding of contract review processes
Preferred Skills
- Master Degree or PhD in the sciences
- Experience in business development and/or sales
- Strategic and tactical market development skills
- Presentation skills applicable internally and in the marketplace
- Greater than 3 years demonstrated ability in sophisticated instrumentation solution sales
