Technical Sales Representative
About the Company
Family run business supplying waterproofing systems and flat roofing to contractors across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with roofing contractors, builders, architects, and property managers
- Provide technical guidance and product recommendations based on customer needs and project specifications
- Conduct on‐site inspections and assessments to ensure proper application of roofing products
- Deliver product presentations, training sessions, and demonstrations to clients and distributors
- Prepare and present proposals, cost estimates, and bids
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed targets
- Stay informed about industry regulations, new technologies, and competitor products
- Work closely with the technical and support teams to resolve customer concerns
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to generate leads
Required Skills
- Experience in roofing, construction materials, or a related technical field
- Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and estimating tools
- Willingness to travel to job sites and client meetings
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with roofing manufacturers, contractors, or suppliers
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to roofing
